Cultural Heritage HV Building Repairs
During a heavy wind event the tiled roof of the pump house was damaged with tiles being blown off the roof and the interior ceiling being damaged. We were tasked with providing a make safe of the roof using heavy tarpaulins until we could return to reinstate the roof tiles and repair the internal ceiling.

Reinstate the roof tiles with “like for like” tiles to meet cultural heritage building requirements
Project Management including high risk work methodologies and PMPs
Replace broken windows around the building and the repair of rotten window frames

Collaboration with our client to develop a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the rectification works, providing expert advice and recommendations on the best approach to address the issues within budget and time constraints.

Carrying out the necessary resurfacing and repairs to the carpark and other high-traffic areas, ensuring a safe and functional environment for the public until the larger capital project is completed.

The pump house was connected to a HV sub-station which made access to the roof extremely difficult

Outcome
Forethought and project planning were the key in successfully managing a number of high risks as part of this scope. We successfully replaced the damaged and missing roof tiles, removed all of the asbestos pieces, repaired the internal ceiling and replaced the broken windows around the building to ensure not only the longevity of the building but also maintaining the cultural heritage of the area’s history.
